Law Enforcement, Mayberry Style

You think some of the legislation coming downhill from Springfield is stupid----let me introduce you to the state of New Hampshire. In Concord, they had hearings yesterday on a proposed bill that would restrict law enforcement’s ability to use deadly force.

A Libertarian group wants to revoke the legal authority law enforcement officers currently have to use deadly force while making an arrest. So, we want to take guns away from the bad guys and equal the playing field by telling cops they can’t use theirs-----even if their lives----or other lives are in danger?

I don’t know why this surprises me. The trend started with the Michael Brown shooting in St. Louis and branched out from Black Lives Matter to other groups that have only one common thread-----hatred of the people who put their lives on the line every time they put on a badge and go out to protect us.

Why would anyone ever aspire to become a police officer when ideas like this duckhead bill in New Hampshire exist?

I’ll keep track of this bill, because, just as sure as the sun rises in the east….if it becomes law in New Hampshire it will show up in some form here and in New York and California, states where bleeding hearts would rather see police officers bleeding.
This needs to stop. If someone is threatening my loved ones with deadly force---a good talking-to is not what I expect when police arrive at the scene.

Can I get an amen?
