Friday night
we had two video screens going at our home. One was on Fox Sports Midwest for
the Cardinals and the other was wfiwradio.com where we watched our video streaming
of the Fairfield Mules. Others only do home games. We do every game.
WFIW has always been the voice of the Mules, now we are so much more. Starting with the home opener against Sesser Valier, the station has now live-streamed the Fairfield Football Mules with the play-by-play coming from our announcing team of Mark Turner and Jeff Vaughan. On Friday night we transmitted the video from Johnston City…. an hour south of us. The video is crisp. The graphics and replays are impressive, in my view. To do this, we added a third person to the traveling sports team in Evan Richards. He’s a great addition.
Why haven’t
you heard more about this? Simple. We wanted to make sure it worked before
saying anything about it. New technology can be tricky and some schools might
not have the band width required to live-stream an event. We will keep our
fingers crossed this Friday night as the Mules travel across the state to face
Chester.
This is only
possible because of the support we receive from a list of sponsors who know
just how important the football team is to this community.
You can now
watch the games, listen to them…and read about them as we give updates on our
dynamic social media platform.
This is
another example of an investment made in this community by The Original
Company. Please pass the word. We are pleased with this addition to our
stations.
