Stoking The Fire

I’ve been patient in my assessment of the Governor’s Executive Order. But last Friday, he doubled down when he should be letting up….and the optics are horrible.

J.B. Pritzker added administrative rules to the Illinois Department of Public Health threatening arrest for any violation of his order. Understand, he wants to arrest you on a Class A misdemeanor. That could get you jail time.

At the same time his administration was threatening citizens, he admitted his family has been spending time at their conclaves in Florida and Wisconsin while advising us against going across state borders. When called on it, Pritzker said livestock needed feeding. The guy is a billionaire, and he wants us to believe Mrs. Pritzker is hauling oats to their riding horses in overalls.

Meanwhile in Chicago, the mayor is towing vehicles of churchgoers who are attending worship.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Here’s what I think. Let the Governor try to arrest a store owner in Fairfield…If it were me, I’d ask for a jury trial and tonight I will be on  Tucker Carlson.

These actions feed dissent. They stoke the fire.

I’ve told you before, I wear my mask at local businesses…I respect the possibility of contracting COVID-19.

What I don’t respect is the blatant hypocrisy and unconstitutional nature of most of the decisions being made in Springfield and at our real state capital….Chicago.
