We owe a
debt to the people who made the last several days endurable.
Last Friday,
Rachel Christine Parsley died. She went to sleep and never woke up. Rachel
honored me by identifying herself as my daughter on social media and in person.
The truth is, she was my wife’s youngest child and my step-daughter.
From the
moment we heard the terrible news, our friends and acquaintances delivered
things to our doorstep and hugs for our beleaguered souls. Rachel was only 30
and while we mourn her death, our focus now totally is on her daughter, our
grandchild, Lexa. She’s 10 years old.
Her mother
was a beautiful woman. Her life inexplicably was cut short. So she will always
remain beautiful in our memory……Forever.
An unknown
author once wrote:
Do not judge a biography by it's length, Nor by the number of pages in it.
Judge it by the richness of it's contents.
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most poignant.
Do not judge a song by it's duration Nor by the number of it's notes...
Judge it by the way it touches and lifts the soul.
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most beautiful.
Carol and I are grateful for the sympathy paid to our family during this tragedy.
Thank you.
