They just don’t get it. Daily, the national media throw grenades at the White House. Hollywood is in full-throated attack against the President. Now a former trusted advisor says she has heard a tape where the president uses racially derisive comments. Of course, she is also on tour to sell a book which is going to make her rich while trashing Donald Trump.

And yet, his overall approval ratings are around 43-percent. 

I’d wager he would still be above 80-percent if he appeared on the Wayne County ballot tomorrow. And he really hasn’t done much for us. Airtex is still shuttered and farmers are worried their bumper crop might get lost in a trade war.

Remember when they used to say that Ronald Reagan was the Teflon president?

Trump is the T-fal Ultimate Hard Scratch Resistant Titanium President.

And the reason is simple. He promised several things and, for the most part, whether you agree with him or not…..he has delivered. He is still pursuing his great wall along the border of the US and Mexico. He hasn’t been able to get the Chinese to blink on trade, but it is not because of a lack of effort on his part. His own party couldn’t get their act together on Obamacare. Trump tried.

But the economy is roaring. Taxes have been slashed….and he seems focused on making our military strong again. All those things keep him strong in the heartland.

Trump once said…

“I could stand in the middle of 5^th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

I think he understates it.

He might even get a bump in the polls if the victim was a member of the media.
