Cos Changes His Tune

America’s dad now says racism is the reason he’ s in prison.

Bill Cosby, a cultural icon in the late 20^th century, has changed his tune now that an appeal has been granted in his 2018 sexual assault conviction. Now he cites a racially slanted judicial system and the unjust treatment of African Americans by police for his plight. It isn’t about the dozens of women who claim he drugged them in order to have sex…..it’s about his color.

Let us not forget the years immediately after his highly successful television show when he went on a lecture tour using the lessons of his success to critique African American culture. He called out blacks for focusing too much on claims of discrimination and racism. He rebuked them for their status in society and argued that personal responsibility was his key to success.

My, things have changed.

Now it has nothing to do with responsibility. He was framed because he’s black.

Sixty women have accused him of using drugs and his celebrity to take advantage of them. They were from all walks of life, mostly younger than him…and mostly white. He actually admitted in a 2005 deposition that he gave Quaaludes to young women he wanted to bed.

But now the 82-year-old comedian says it is all about his race, not his actions. It has nothing to do with responsibility.

It is about race, not evidence….

…which has worked before as a legal strategy.
